We have 4 spares on the 5 to 8 points, but only 2 will (hopefully) fill the 4pt. The other will go behind White's anchor sooner or later.

The unwieldy and slightly risky 10/5 + some ace somehow bury a checker just the same. It weakens our blockade and merely creates a 3rd superfluous spare.
