I set up a rollout using the XG roller++ settings of 360 games, truncate at 3 ply after 5 moves, first two moves checker play at 3 ply and later at 2 ply. Cubes at 3 ply.

The reported confidence intervals were about +- .0057. That amount of variation is consistent with the size of differences you are seeing.
