I somewhat disagree with both points :

- the 7pt is nice, but with White anchored on the 5pt, it is not too important at this stage of the game (though it would be later, if Blue were to clear his midpoint against a holding game for instance).

- White will almost always cover his 5pt and if Blue played 8/7(2) he will be totally stripped and that's he who will have to perform in the next few rolls or face serious trouble.
