Equity Disparities

Up to the fourth decimal, results for each candidate are identical, but for the best move 8/7(3) 6/5 (discarded for some reason in Nack's compilation), a difference of 0.015. Why ?

The list of candidates in my initial post includes only the top nine plays that can reach identical positions from both sequences. The end position from 8/7(3) 6/5 can be reached 21$-51S-11 but not from 21S-51S-11, and was therefore not useful for comparison purposes. If at least one of the aces played from 21$-51S-11 excludes 24/23 (which is true for several in-between plays), it has been intentionally omitted for purposes of this thread.

That stated, your comparison of version 2.10 and 2.19.211 for 21$-51S-11 (though ignoring 21S-51S-11) is interesting. Thanks.

By the way, is really 8/7(3) 6/5 the best move ?

As it happens, not quite -- according to a 129k 4-ply rollout and supplementally a 31k 3R rollout. For 21$-51S-11:

[E n2.0] "^129 (98.6%)
[E n7.5 F30 f35 n36 I46 e47 E48 N57] "<=31*5 (99.9%)

Nactation key: E = 24/21 6/5, n = 8/7(3) 6/5. Other plays translated on request.

Nack
