Dice Cheating in Cyprus?

Ian Terry: I was perusing a thread on Facebook and saw a comment with the following:

"In general, the backgammon community is too soft on obvious cheaters. Maybe things will get better after one player in Cyprus cheated with dice and ended up in prison and is awaiting deportation from the country."

What!? Has anyone heard anything about this incident?

Back in the heyday of BGO, this post would have inspired 40 responses, plenty of strong language, a bevy of wild speculation, tons of unfounded accusations, and lots of bad feelings.
