Is chouette "special" always warranted?

Did you write what you meant when you say the doubler is in the transaction? I thought the transaction was between a crew member and the captain and the doubler is the box.

Also confused how the crewmember thinks he is coming out ahead. Couldn’t he just drop the box’s cube and be down the same one point?
