Cancelgammon

a) Since your cancels don't carry over, you need to use them when you can. But it seems prudent to wait until you opponent rolls something very lucky that turns the game around. Here, your opponent is something like 60% GWC and that looks like enough cancel. But I've never played cancelgammon so what do I know?

b) My recollection is that being on roll in a long but even race is worth about 4% GWC. With ~12 rolls to go and the chance of shaking big doubles each turn being 1/12 it's likely that the player on roll will roll big doubles that can be cancelled. How much additional equity does that bring? I'll say GWC 60%, but without much confidence.

c) From the rules: "A player may double immediately after the opponent uses their cancel, before re-rolling." It would be interesting to see an example where the player using their cancel changes the cube action from hold to double.
