Fewer Shots After Making the 5pt

In Response To: Position of the Day 03-01-25 - The Classics, hit or 5pt? (Stick)

I attempted to count the number of shots after making the 5pt (8/5 6/5) and the number of shots after hitting (13/12*/9) and I determined that making the 5pt leaves fewer shots.

I also attempted to count the number of White's inner board points after each play and I determined that White has a stronger board after making the 5pt than after hitting.

I will therefore go with making the 5pt.
