I think that while Djokovic has won more majors and masters tournaments etc, 24 vs 22 or 20 majors is close enough that it doesn't make sense to base the ranking entirely on these grand slam title numbers.

If I would have believed for example that peak Federer was clearly better in absolute terms than peak Djokovic, I would have had him as my GOAT.

As things are, I see Djokovic as the GOAT because he has the upper hand in most stats and I don't believe that Federer or Nadal reached a higher level of tennis.

In golf, sure, 18 majors are more than 15 (and I know Jack was also the runner-up more often), but all things considered, Tiger is my GOAT of golf. Since I wasn't alive when Jack played, I admit to knowing less about golf back then, so I don't have a strong opinion.
