After b/22* there are three choices for ace: 24/23, 22/21 and 9/8. It is true that white has better board and we are ahead in race by 25 after hit but I consider 9/8 to stacky and conservative. 24/23 gives Stick hitting six from the bar which, to be honest, break his 8pt but I don't like to have sixes blocked and such move is rarely correct. With Stick being on the bar and having only eight checkers into zone I take a chance and go for better anchor which is more race oriented play and thematic in this case.
