First order of business is to guillotine White's leader; b/22.

We then have three choices:

  • Liberté - Run to freedom with b/22*/21
  • Fraternité - Join your brothers safely on the 8 point
  • Égalité - Let the back men work together. B/22 24/23 sits off the edge of the prime, decreasing the value of White's loose hits, and threatens White's stripped 8 point if he uses one of those chequers to hit. Our blot on the nine point can only be hit indirectly, so is more of an asset than a liability
