I'm guessing that the new model will be subscription-based rather than the buy the software and use it as long as you want.

The good news is that there will probably be some support than is there currently. e.g. the install on my laptop recently "lost" the license, I re-installed but some things are not working like they used to. It would be nice to have a place to ask about it.
