Making the three point gives white 16 dancing numbers and only two fly shots. We can hit loose on the outfield blot with less risk than hitting loose on the three, so do what's hard first. If white fails to safety the outfield blot, we stand a good chance of two on the roof with 13 in the zone. Which is to say that the POH play should win a lot more gammons.

Meanwhile, hitting in the outfield gives white a good chance to anchor on the three.
