Everyone was on top of this one. Surprised I couldn't persuade anyone to play offense here when the opponent has a checker on the bar. ah_clem mentioned the variant of having a spare on the 8pt so I've included that variant below. It's quite the swing but makes sense given that with the spare we forego leaving 8 indirects amongst other things.
