: Intermediate is listed as '1 ply with little noise' and given
: an elo of 1780. The issue for finding what settings a Giant aka
: 3.5PR would be is there's a huge jump from Advanced, 1 ply w/very
: little noise elo of 1935 to Expert, 1 ply with an elo of 2201.

I updated my ratings conversion page:

https://montanaonline.net/backgammon/cv.php

I replaced percent of ELO difference (which people didn't seem to
understand anyway) with straight ELO.

I also changed the 0 PR = 2,240 ELO constant to 2,268 ELO based on
the table in the XG manual.

So, the 1,780 ELO for XG's Intermediate level equals 14.79 PR.

Going by the average 3.5 PR for "giants", their ELO equals 2,152.

That's lower than even XG's Expert level (1-ply no noise) ELO of 2,201!

That means an average "giant" is 1.49 PR worse than XG 1-ply? Wow!
Some "little big giants, they must be"...
