With the prevalence of clocked matches, and bearing in mind the increased pressure/incentive for players to skimp on shaking and rolling the dice - some well before they are even in time trouble - I have a couple of questions for anyone interested.

With baffle boxes eliminating these issues, is there any valid ethical argument opposing that:

1) when clock use is mandatory - there is also a preference for baffle boxes?

2) when a preference for clocks applies, and one player exercises this right - their opponent then has the right to insist that, where available, both players use a baffle box?
