How do I transcribe?

Why do you describe XG as clunky for transcription?
Clunky was a bad word. It's mostly pretty good, with a couple of minor warts. I definitely like being able to type in the dice roll, and I especially like that I can make a legal move and then immediately type the next dice roll. It handles illegal moves pretty nicely.
Issues:
(1) If I make a mistake with a checker play, I have to take back the entire move instead of just one part of the play.
(2) The animation speed actually holds me back a little bit sometimes.
(3) There are weird bugs that pop up once in a while where I get strangeness in the transcript. I'm not sure how to describe this, and I certainly don't know how to replicate this.
(4) If I make a mistake and omit a cube action, or I mess up the match length, or any other mistake... RIP. There are dumb fixes involving exporting to .txt and fixing manually.
Now that I've tested BGBlitz and GNUBG for transcribing, I can definitely say these complaints are very minor.
-------------------------
Wish list:
(a) Give me a hot key for greedy bearoff.
(b) Let me turn off the animation. Or at least speed it up.
(c) It shouldn't be this difficult to change the match length.
(d) The default file naming convention should be based on the date of the original match, not the date of the transcription. I don't care that much about this, since I have my own naming convention which is much more sensible that the XG default. For example, when putting dates in file names, it should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be YYYY-MM-DD, not MM-DD-YYYY, so that lexicographic sorting matches date sorting. I will die on this hill, because I'm 100% right.
