What's Missing in Backgammon

While you might find this guy entertaining to watch, is there any data to suggest he is actually attracting new players to the poker circuit?

The things we need most to grow backgammon are:

- Grass roots to take more action to bring in new players. If everyone brings 1 friend and that friend becomes a permanent player, then we have doubled the community.

- Better streams and much better commentators. Nick Blasier, Sebastian Wilkinson are 2 good commentators so good commentating is possible.

- Lower registration and more added to make the tournaments more attractive. This will boost prize pools which may help garner some attention from a wider audience.

- More media to cover backgammon, eg live coverage from the world championship, or perhaps some recap which is edited in an exciting way. I realize this point seems far away at the moment.
