We're still about ten pips behind after this play so we need to maintain contact. That said, seems like getting off the deuce point is worth doing.
After making the bar point, is is better to make the 15 hoping that the bar point holding game is enough contact while giving us timing by making it easier to bring those two checkers around, or is the right idea to make the 5 point board where any exchange of hits massively favors us?
Seems to me that making the deuce and the 18 points gives white a number of awkward rolls where she either has to blot or make an ugly play. The problem with that idea is that getting off the 21 will be a problem in a roll or two and white seems to have the timing to dump behind the anchor for longer than that.
So, I'll move both anchors up, and convert to a "normal" bar point holding game, which at least I understand how to play. Maybe I'm making an error here that will be compensated by fewer errors later.
