World Championship Finals Set

The finals are set for Sunday (today/tomorrow depending on your location) at GMT+2, or EDT+4 or PST+7 or you get the picture. The match length is 17 points and it will be contested by Timo Vaatainen (Finland) and Doron Claxton (South Africa).

You can watch on the Backgammon Galaxy YouTube Page. I'm not 100% but it seems likely that Sax & Simborg will be commentating?

The winner will take home 94,000€, the runner up 44,000€. (I swear I saw these numbers somewhere but can't relocate them so if they're wrong blame Matt or Trey)

I know neither participant at all and from what little I was able to find online it seems Doron may not even be an Open level player. Timo seems to play around a 3.7 according to his BMAB information where he is a G2. Feel free to correct anything as I'm quickly scouring and putting it to print.
