We'll be up by ~15 pips after this roll, and if we make the 16 point we will have a comfortable race lead with our checkers escaped. Seems like the game plan is to race, with perhaps a bit of drubbing of the runner. The made ace point makes me less inclined to mix it up with something like hitting loose on the four point.

So, I make the 16 here.
