While at 4a 2a you should obviously be extra itchy with that trigger finger as the trailer in any sort of reasonably gammonish positions, we still need to have market losing sequences so the first question is, do we have MLS? Second question is how many of them do we have? Third question in a similar vein is if we do lose our market how much do we lose it by?

There's no magical formula to put all that information together but approaching this problem I would ask myself all those questions to try to get a better idea of what is going on. After that I would probably ask myself 'Is my opponent ever passing?' When the answer to this is no it makes me not like cubing nearly as much. Sometimes you just have to do it but when cubing your opponent it shouldn't be a gift to them if possible. It should be a struggle, there should be some hesitation, some fear should inherent their being from the cube.

To keep going down the line since this is a game with plenty of play left I'd ask myself whose side of the board is easier to play? If my opp's side is easier to play this would sway any close cube decisions to holding off. If my side is easier then obv. pro cube. Taking the relative strengths of the players into account is a step that should always be considered.

Looks like we have six potential jokers [33 11 53 31] so only a couple of MLS. When we do lose it it is by a country mile. We also have a lot decent/neutral numbers that force the opponent to figure out how to clean up his position quickly. Worst case scenario we fan and we're still ok.
