OTB, I would just make the deuce point without giving it much thought. Why might slotting the four be better?
For one thing, XG really likes to keep her checkers in front of the anchor, so burying one instead of two should get a good look.
Another is that as you say the five prime will protect you. If white hits, she still has two checkers stuck behind a five prime unless she shakes a 61.
Most of the time white's board will crunch before she can spring the straggler(s) so being hit is not big deal.
And then there's that blot on the 19.
So, keep the prime and slot the four point. With 20-20 hindsight since I peeked at XG prior to writing this.

Interesting that XG 2 ply makes the deuce point. I wouldn't beat yourself up too much for making the XG 2 ply play.
