I think you have to suck it up and keep your blockade while exposing a bunch of shots.

With white stuck behind a broken five prime you can sometimes weather the storm. 18/10 lets white hit with 5s in addition to 1s, 2s, and 4s, so stop at the midpoint and slot the four, which is the next point you want to make.

18/2 6/4 seems to be the least bad option.
