"And it's also disrespectful for the actual world champions"

Is it true that naming a tournament "world championship" means it is the "actual" world championship? Would all that is being found disrespectful, insulting, or pretty close to being insulting be alleviated by just using another name? For example, Earth championship or Planet Championship?
