This was also my immediate thought after reading Achim's write-up.

Also, if Achim did play below par, these actions by the opponent were most certainly a contributing factor. When the opponent plays in a way to upset the progress of the game, you can be assured that they are used to the issues that arise and are not put off their game due to the resulting problems.
