The thing is, white is only just above 50% GWC, so the cost of eating a four cube is negligible. Increase white's GWC after a "miss" and blue's GWC also goes down, probably making it not a cube.

There might be a similar position where blue is actually more than 50% GWC but it's not a cube due to the rewhip. But the cube decision in that case is probably very close.

I'll stick with the "last roll" simplification, even though it's not perfect. (c:
