Even a deficit this small can have a profound effect on checker play and cube decisions, as the trailer tries to get some leverage for a catch-up. I'm going to go with making the 2 point, since it's more likely to lead to mutually gammonish positions where we can throw the cube around advantageously. I'm recommending it even though I'm normally no fan of this play and would never do it for money (unless it would aggravate an opponent, of course). I also recognize that both the rollout and the vote are going to favor running; but since we're talking micropoints here none of us have to care very much!
