Ace point or deuce point? Magriel's safe v bold criteria all point to safe so I'll cover the ace. 11 shots vs zero immediate shots.

Making the deuce is the pure play, but as we all know, making the pure play is not always right. With white having a proto backgame maybe it is, but two on the bar against a four point board looks strong, and not exposing a shot looks stronger. Leaving the ace slotted will make it easier to make the five point board, which implies no backgame, but is it worth the risk of getting hit on the ace?

Maybe. But I'll stick with Magriel. 7/1.
