I agree that Ray's is a very good, and doubtlessly correct, analysis.

Nonetheless, many of the occurrences should not be allowed to happen.

No question about it. It's the world championships... by the semifinals, there should be no trouble at all in getting competent and impartial monitors to prevent all irregularities. It's absurd that there have been problems involving illegal moves in consecutive WC events.
