I think it is not too urgent to free the back man and he adds contact plus when white hits from the midpoint it is less advantegeous for us as if we would have still our own midpoint.

11/5,8/5 on the other hand makes the best point in our homeboard, starts a prime and reduces the stack on the 8. Even if white hits one of the blot he still has 2 checkers back. So 11/5,8/5 for me.
