While 5/2 is a normal play, we have a situation where the opponent has two (or more) blots in his homeboard so we need to be aware of this and look around for plays we wouldn't otherwise consider. We're pretty burnt in the race even with our opponent's wastage so actually spreading our outfield checkers making it that much tougher for the opponent to get by without leaving a direct shot wins the fancy play of the week award.
