White only needs 10 crossovers to bear off, so unless we stop her we're losing a gammon. So, hitting loose seems thematic - she has no board and recirculating a checker just give us more chances to hit her again.

Then, 10/9 seems too loose - we want to keep the blockade, so 16/15 to aim a checker at the vacant nine point.

16/15 7/3*.
