6/1 is clear for me. Why to volunteer a shot at all. At least you are behind in race so keep contact. As Neil stated, there is no need to save five and play both spares on acept bcuz it hurt race a lot. But run with 16/11 and left 15 shots with white's five point board?! No thanks. You can roll some doubles next turn or white can leave shot with 65 for example. In worst case you can always run next turn. In the meantime he will waste some pips in order to play safe, too.
