It seems pretty obvious that any split in the board loses eq whenever white rolls 33 and we can hit.

There are 0 downsides to just playing 13/8. There will be many rolls and time to get all the checkers from the mid to useful positions on the high points to achieve an efficient bearoff structure.

Hence, it should be no surprise that 13/8 is best. I suspect that most players would find the best play without use of bank time.
