Moves involving 8/2*(2), putting White on the bar against a 4 point board, increase our gammon chances. Then we can follow up with 13/7(2) or 22/10. 13/7(2) creates a broken 5 prime and blocks White's checkers on the ace. 22/10 escapes the back checker.

On the other hand, the non-hitting play, 13/7(2) 22/10, creates a broken 6 prime slotted on the back and escapes the back checker. It might win more games (but fewer gammons).

As Mislav said, it's hard to resist PO Stick's H on the 2. And since I like Daniel's metaphor, I'll follow up with 13/7(2).
