You are going to get a shot (or more) immediately on half the rolls. There are six other rolls that push the opponents position to next turn without moving much of anything. [55 44 53 41]. If you hit a shot immediately you want the opponent to be able to enter and break his oh so fragile board with [42 41]. It's also obviously better the deeper the opponent comes in as he has less rolls to enter and escape or escape completely with that large doublet.
For eg, whenever I have a position where something isn't immediately obvious I plug it in and play it out. It may take one game, it make take 10, but this is by far the best way to recognize what's going on in the position. This position for eg I slapped it into XG and what happened in the very first game after I made the correct initial play? Opponent rolls [51] playing 7/1 leaving me a double shot +. I hit that double shot and now the opponent rolls [42]! Game over.
