White is going to have a hard time leaping the blockade, while blue should be able to run fairly soon. 9/5 is the "obvious" play - let white's position deteriorate while her runner is stuck.

But making the deuce point will lock up the win, and maybe win a few gammons so perhaps playing off the 8 to aim more builders at the open point is better than the passive 9/5.

I'll clear the 8 to aim three builders at the deuce instead of 2. 8/5 8/7.
