I think what he is alluding to is that for some (most? all?) of us, the forum no longer retains state between posts.

So, you have to type in your user name and password each time, and the various settings such as threading, how many posts to show, etc. are not saved when you update your settings.

This has happened before, but I don't know what the fix is.
