2/off*(2) seems like it wins the most games, gammons, and backgammons.

3/1*(2) gives white 4 instead of 1 dancing number, but still leaves us with four checkers to bear off instead of two. Perhaps those four dancing numbers plus the four doubles to bear off in one are enough to outweigh the extra roll we need to bear off, but I'm skeptical.

And AtS, backgammons waste a point while a gammon gets us to 7aC, so I won't be greedy here, assuming another play wins more bgs. 2/1*(2) 2/off(2).

Play to pick up a second checker? Maybe, but seems to win fewer gammons, so no.
