Stripping the six point usually isn't a good idea. Perhaps even worse then stripping the midpoint.

So I wont play 8/2 6/2* or 21/16* 6/2*. So either hit in the outfield or make the bar point. My guess is the bar point but I have no good arguments to talk someone out of hitting.
