Making the full prime seems to be the DMP play. Two down seems to win more gammons. Enough extra gammons? I think so.

If white anchors on the ace point, the gammon rate diminishes substantially, as does the win rate. But the other 23 rolls (32 is even more of a problem than an ace) seem to give us a lot of gammons.

So, yeah, I think the extra gammons are worth it. 16 dancing rolls, and the ability to blitz sway me towards that conclusion.
