We stand to win a lot of gammons if we roll a six, but our board will crunch if we don't and then we lose a lot of games as white brings her army around the board while we are stuck behind a prime with no board and not even any checkers off.

Volatility often points toward a cube, and there's lot's of volatility here. Against a human, I'd ship it and make it their problem - the take decision looks tough, and might be costly if wrong.

Seems like enough rolls leave a shot and if white sends a second checker back it looks like a rewhip/cash so I'll say take.

And I'll go with ND for the bot play, despite it maybe being a practical cube against a human opponent.
