The back man is better placed on 23 than on 18 where it helps Stick make the bar point, and leaves us in search of a plan if it survives.

The natural 5 is 13/8 which does no harm, but little good. The alternative to consider is the tempo stealing 6/1. Taking away half a roll has some virtue, but I cannot believe that we gain enough.

I go with the stolid b/23 13/8
