First, thanks for reminding us about this site. I'm definitely a duffer, but it's helpful in making me look around a bit before making a move.

That said, I quickly saw making the 2-point. So why is this position being offered?

I won't be surprised to see making the 2-point is still the best play or even escaping blue's back checker,

but I like 13/9 10/9, covering 2 blots and feeling like making white having to work harder. Blue is way ahead in the race, is a gammon in the offing?
