I've looked at similar problems a lot in the past. (when and how can we leave this shitty anchor) While a lot of people won't run because 'we're down in the race' that blanket statement should come with qualifiers. When someone says we're down in the race I immediately think 'by how much?' Being down a handful of pips versus 15 pips versus 25 pips are all a different ballgame. Sure, we're down a little here but we'd be wax ecstatic if we could manoeuvre both our men out of there.

Another important piece of the puzzle (obviously) when we're deciding should I stay or should I go now is how much ammo does the opponent have to punish the checker I left behind? That's a critical component and in this problem it isn't much. (immediately) For him to harass us he'll have to give up one of the points in the prime and while there are 11 men in the zone technically, only 9 of those men can see us and they are already put to use.
