At DMP, minimizing shots would seem to be the determining factor. Except that the race is almost even, so sending a checker to the roof seems more important, but once we do that, minimizing shots is next.

Two ways to hit and move the homeboard blot to safety. One leaves 66 and 65 to hit, the other leaves 62 and 61 to hit. Is one less hit worth burying one on the ace? Seems close, but I'll minimize shots.
