Pay now or pay later? Well, of course we have to pay now, but do we expose 11 shots or 17?

11 should be better, but if we're not hit we can usually clear the midpoint next roll.

Playing off the 8 allows us to fill in one of the gaps in our board, leaves fewer shots, and gives white 11 rolls that force her to blot while most of the others make her tear up her board. A bigger race lead would favor running off the midpoint now, but with it about even the benefits of paying now don't seem strong enough.

I'll play off the 8 point. 8/2 4/3.
