I count a net of about 7 market losers which usually isn't enough for an initial double. It is a double though because 1) The market loss when you roll an ace is so large (as Bob Koca pointed out) that it's almost a double without Jacoby. 2) Jacoby makes it a double. It would be a shame to not double this position in a money game and then roll an ace and have to cash the game when you'll have about 25% g chances.
