You said the ABT but assume you meant the USBGF? Don't the Brits have the UKBGF? Doesn't Japan have the JBS? France has the FFBG? Those are all that immediately come to mind but won't be surprised if there are even more for individual countries.

sadly noone seems to want to give up their own gig for the sake of simplifying and unifying the landscape

That's how I feel about everyone posting on their own personal Facebook or whatever bg group they happen to be in...
